Metabo HPT Announces First Cordless 10-inch Table Saw, Which Is Also Corded

Metabo HPT is expanding on their MultiVolt cordless/corded tool line with the introduction of a 10-inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw. Metabo HPT MultiVolt Tools like the new C3610DRJQ4 Table Saw can accept a 36V MultiVolt Battery or plug into a standard 120V outlets using their AC adapter.
Metabo HPT is not the first manufacturer to come out with a cordless table saw, but they are the first to offer one that uses the standard 10-inch blade. Both DeWalt and Milwaukee introduced cordless tables saws of their own, but these used smaller 8-1/4" saw blades that deliver a reduced cutting capacity.
While I would classify the other cordless table saws on the market as compact table saws, the C3610DRJQ4 is closer to a full-sized jobsite saw. The table measures 28-3/4” x 22” and offers up to 35" of rip capacity on the right while using the extension, and 22" on the left. The 10” blade can bevel between 0° to 45° for cuts ranging from 3-1/8” (at 0°) to 2-1/4” (at 45°). It is also capable of using a dado stack.
The table saw features a 36V DC Brushless motor that is equipped with overload protection that automatically turns off the motor in the event of a current overload. It also features a soft start function that reduces start-up recoil.
As I would expect, the saw includes a riving knife, anti-kickback pawl, and a blade guard; all of which are excellent at keeping you safe from injury, but only if you actually use them. The saw also features onboard storage for the safety devices, as well as the tools needed to use the saw.
