Three years ago Bosch came out with a new axial-glide sliding system for their 12-inch miter saw, a system that uses articulating arms rather than rails to slide the saw blade back and forth. The Axial-Glide saw was the talk of the town, but people also wanted a 10-inch version. Now, just in time for Christmas, the CM10GD 10-inch Axial-Glide has arrived.

I came across an interesting tool called a Push-Pull saw that is available in Europe by Bosch. It is unique in that it is almost like a cross between a table saw and a radial-arm saw. I know those tools sound like an impossible match, but Bosch managed to bring the two tools together.

When you need to cut compound miters a miter saw is usually your best bet. But the miter saw does have its size limitations and usually maxes out at a 4x4" capacity. When you need to make bigger cuts you need to look to other tools, and this chainsaw timber cutting guide from Ligna Tool, surprisingly, looks like it can match a miter saw for accuracy.

Today DeWalt announced the brand new DWS780 12-inch sliding compound miter saw. The saw does look very similar to the older DW718 miters saw, and if you compare the two carefully you will notice that some parts are mirrored. I have had a few days of use with the older model saw, but it was years ago and I hardly remember if it had any design flaws. Because the saws are so similar looking, there were probably only minor changes made to the saw, but having not used the new DWS780 it is impossible to say...

One of the most requested tools I see talked about online is the cordless miter saw, and when Makita announced their first 36V lithium-ion tool I always expected them to come out with a 36V miter saw. Well I guess that for now I am still left waiting because Makita chose to go with 18V to power their new LXSL01 cordless miter saw. Though I can't say that I am disappointed with their decision, because their 18V line is super popular and already having 18V batteries will be a plus, if not a must. ...

I have wanted to write a review for the Bosch Axial Glide miter saw for a while now, but the saw has so many features, that I thought It would be best to just do a video review. It looks like Bosch really took their time to make sure everything was done right, this not only includes the things you would expect, like bevel and miter controls, but even the smallest of things are done right. The Bosch GCM12SD miter saw is great, and is probably the best 12" saw on the market. I do a lot...

No, its not a 10-inch axial glide like many are hoping for, but it is new none the less. Or is it? It appears to be exactly the same as the previous 4410 except for the trigger handle. Instead of using the user rotatable handle, the 4310 uses a fixed handle. I was never a fan of the old handle anyways, so this is no loss. There might be some other minor changes, but basically it is the same saw. The 4310 will retail for less, so this new model appears to be a way for...
