Bosch 5.0Ah Battery Packs Coming This May

Isn't competition great? Cordless tools are stronger than ever with brands racing and competing to deliver the most powerful tools; and now we are in a heated race to see who can pack the most Ah into a battery. Well, it looks like Bosch is taking the lead with their new BAT621 5.0Ah 18-volt battery arriving this May.
The best part of all is that the new battery packs are the same footprint and weight as Bosch’s previous 4.0Ah and 3.0Ah battery packs. They say this is possible thanks to “state-of-the-art high capacity low-resistance lithium-ion cells which increase the overall capacity from the current 4.0 Ah batteries by 25 percent”.
Like previous batteries, the new BAT621 batteries are housed in Bosch’s CoolPack heat conductive housing, which transfers heat out of the battery and provides longer battery life. Each battery pack also comes equipped with an on-board fuel gauge. Suggest retail price for the Bosch 5.0Ah battery is $129.
