Makita has you covered with the introduction of their new BCF201Z 18-volt LXT cordless fan. With it you have a hassle free way to dry mud, or just keep cool in the summer.
A cordless fan is not something we would have ever expected, but it actually looks like a good idea. When most of your tools are cordless, having one that is corded always ruins the flow.
Makita's BCF201Z offers a high and a low speed setting running at 1,700 and 1,200 RPMs with a runtime of up to 3 hours at the low speed setting. When you need longer run times you can switch over and use a AC adaptor. A built in automatic timer offers 1, 2 and 4 hour power off settings which allows for specific drying times. The fan is also said to be pretty rugged, with built-in bumpers to protect from jobsite abuse. To make sure you can get the air where you need it, the fan can also be adjusted to 45-degrees.
The BCF201Z is currently only available as a tool only and can be purchased for around $90.
