Oh great another cordless LED work light. And when I say oh great, I mean it in the good way. Oh Great!!! Having enough light while working is a must, so I am always happy to see new and better lights coming out. The New 18-volt Makita LXLM03 12 LED work light (flashlight) is looking like a nice step in the right direction.

A Seriously High-Buck LED Worklamp – ToolMonger Festool is known for making high quality and high priced power tools, and ToolMonger also found that they make really high priced portable LED work lights. The Festool SysLite powers a total of six 3-watt LEDs that are said to produce a clear white light capable of brightening an entire room. It has an internal rechargeable battery, but it can also be plugged into the wall for extended use.

Just last week I had to go inside the door panel on my Ford Explorer to try and figure out why the lock mechanism was no longer working and boy is it tight in there. Even though I could see where I needed to work with a flashlight, when it came to doing the actual work, my hand always seemed to cast a shadow. What I needed was hand tools with built in lights.

Giveaway Ended Did you see my Coast A15 3xAAA LED Professional Flashlight review? If you didn't, you need to check it out and see all the features that make it great. Here at ToolRank I like to give away prizes that are useful, and who couldn't use a flashlight? But we all have flashlights at home, right? Well I do too, but none of them are as bright, as strong, or as cool looking as the Coast A15. The best feature of all is the dual lens that the A15...

The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting longer, and we are entering what I like to call "flashlight season". Soon you will be arriving at work, or leaving, in the dark. Because of the dangers of the jobsite, one thing you don't want to do is navigate in the dark. The reasons to keep a flashlight handy far outweigh the excuses to not have one, so it would seem to be perfect timing for a flashlight review, and I have one for you thanks Coast. What Coast sent over was their A15 Professional LED...

Today DeWalt announced the brand new DWS780 12-inch sliding compound miter saw. The saw does look very similar to the older DW718 miters saw, and if you compare the two carefully you will notice that some parts are mirrored. I have had a few days of use with the older model saw, but it was years ago and I hardly remember if it had any design flaws. Because the saws are so similar looking, there were probably only minor changes made to the saw, but having not used the new DWS780 it is impossible to say...

Makita has added yet another tool to their ultra compact line. Makita's new entry to their line is the Model WT01 3/8-inch Impact Wrench. These are a little less common then your standard impact driver, but they have the same general function. The advantage of the impact wrench is its ability to handle sockets without the need for adapters. The WT01 offers 1,000 in.lbs. of torque in a tool that is only 6-3/8" long and weights only 2.1 lbs. The impact wrench uses a Makita-built motor that provides veritable speeds of 0-2,300 RPM's and 0-3,000 IPM's....

Makita has announced some new 12-volt max tools, and pretty much completes an upgrade to their entire 12V line. Of course they could still always expand on their line, and that would be just fine with us. Some of the new tools we have seen already, such as the FD02W Drill/Driver and the SH01W Circular Saw that make up the LCT307 kit. The other new tools in the line seem to only have minor updates over the previous models. Power wise the specs appear to be the same as previous models, so it probably doesn't make...
