We took a little bit of time off from our giveaways over the holiday season, but we are back in the new year with a great new giveaway from Milwaukee Tool. Up for grabs this month is the Milwaukee 2603-22 high performance M18 Fuel brushless cordless Drill/Driver, a tool that features some of the latest in cordless tool technology. If you are looking for a powerhouse in a drill, this is it.

Milwaukee announced on their Facebook page that products from their new M12 Fuel line will start shipping to stores on February 1, 2013, which means that you should be able to purchase them later in the month.

Milwaukee first made their new brushless M12 Fuel line of drills and impacts known during their press event way back in June. They then gave us the clue about the winter release date back in August. Now, with winter just around the corner, they have released the specs, and they have us wondering if you really need 18v tools anymore.

It doesn't look like Makita is on the same product release cycle as the other manufacturers. They have already released a couple of impact drivers this year, but I guess there is always room for one more, especially when it will replace their top of the line model.

Along with Milwaukee's announcement of new higher capacity batteries comes their announcement of new Brushless M12 cordless drivers. In my opinion Milwaukee has been the leader in 12-volt ultra compact tools, and they have shown this again by leading the pack with Brushless ultra compact drivers.

Brushless motors are the latest innovation to hit cordless power tools. In fact it is so new that there are few cordless tools that take advantage of the technology. In this article I am going to review two brushless drills that are available now, the 2604-22 Milwaukee Brushless Hammer Drill and the LXPH05 Makita Brushless Hammer Drill. Just for a stat comparison, I also threw in last years HDH181 Bosch Hammer Drill which is not brushless.

Every couple of years a new round of power tool innovations come around, and this season it is all about brushless motors. A Seriously High-Buck LED Worklamp – ToolMonger Festool is known for making high quality and high priced power tools, and ToolMonger also found that they make really high priced portable LED work lights. The Festool SysLite powers a total of six 3-watt LEDs that are said to produce a clear white light capable of brightening an entire room. It has an internal rechargeable battery, but it can also be plugged into the wall for extended use.

The evolution of tool technology continues to impress, and Milwaukee is leading the charge with their latest line of cordless drills. Their new M18 FUEL line features the latest in drill technology, yet still manages to remain affordable to tradesman. So what makes the M18 FUEL line so special?
