Gets the job done just fine

I've had this tool for about three years and used it in multiple concrete-, mortar- and brick-drilling projects. Battery life -- especially with lithium-ion cells -- is quite good ... 25-40 holes per charge. Bit changes are easy and the auto-lock makes tightening them a simple one-handed operation. The motor is very quiet and runs cool for the work it's doing. The side handle and depth gauge, plus the tipped-back angle of the motor, make this a comfortable tool to use in most any position.
One interesting thing I've learned is that if I use a nut driver with the drill set in "hammer" position, it effectively works like an impact driver. Handy!!
Not all of Ryobi's 18-volt tools are worthy of a "great" rating, but this one is.

Pros
Well made, effective, nicely balanced, economical
Cons
Speed could be faster in "hammer" mode
Made in
China
