Milwaukee 2729-21 Band Saw

Milwaukee continues to push out M18 Fuel tools at a staggering pace. The latest tool to get Milwaukee's brushless motor treatment—among other advancements—is their Deep Cut Band saw with a 5"x5" cutting capacity.

Milwaukee corded band saws are well regarded in the construction industry, so I have no doubt that Milwaukee applied everything they have learned over the years into what they are saying is a cordless band saw that has the ability to "deliver faster cutting speeds than corded units".

Of course those claims wouldn't be possible without Milwaukee's M18 Fuel Powerstate Brushless motor technology, their Redlink Plus Intelligence system and their Redlithium XC4.0 Battery Packs, who all communicate with each other to ensure the tool is performing at its very best.

Job Sire Armor technology is a proprietary composite material that Milwaukee uses to protect the tool from drops and debris, which features built-in crush zones to absorb impacts. Internally, they use a sealed all-metal direct driver system with a gear protecting clutch that absorbs impact feedback from blade lock-ups.

Other features include a built-in LED light that illuminates the cutting area, a tool-free locking adjustable shoe, a hanger hook, and a balanced body design. The M18 FUEL Deep Cut Band Saw (2729-22) will be available this June as a kit that includes two XC4.0 batteries, one charger, a blade and a carrying case. It will also be available as a bare tool (2729-20) and with one battery (2729-21).
