Bosch DDB181 Is Their New Powerful Ultra Compact Drill/Driver

I have said in the past that you don’t always need to own the most powerful tool; there are more aspects of the tool to consider, like weight or price. So if size or weight are more important, Bosch has the tool for you. They say their DDB181 packs a big punch, yet while 18V, it is the size of a 12V Drill.

12V tools are great when you need to travel light, but if you already have 18V tools it becomes inconvenient to have to carry around two different battery types and two different chargers. The Bosch DDB181 is compact at only 7.1-inches long and it weighs only three pounds with a BAT611 1.5Ah battery installed. But because it runs on 18V it offers more torque (350 in. lbs.) and has features like a larger ½-inch chuck.
