Rockwell Announces Four New Oscillating Multi-Tools

Rockwell was one of the first to come out and compete in the oscillating tool market, but it was so long ago that their current oscillating tool was starting to show its age. I was just thinking that Rockwell needed to come out with an update, and what do you know, they give us four updates.

It looks like in an effort to make their oscillating tools affordable for everyone, Rockwell has come out with three new oscillating tools that reach everyone from the occasional users up to the pro, as well as an updated cordless model. All four tools feature Rockwell's all new Universal Fit system which allows all the tools to accept other brands accessories without the need for any special adapters. A new tool-less Hyperlock system has been added to the top two Rockwell Sonicrafters, RK5139K and RK5140K, which provides one ton of clamping force on the blades to prevent slippage. Just the flip of a level is all that it takes to change a blade. We all want more power, and again the top two models do see a boost in amperage that brings them inline with the other tools on the market. However, Rockwell might have an advantage of having a greater oscillating angle of 3.2 degrees over some brands 2.8 degree sweep.

With the new oscillating tool announcement Rockwell has also come out with new Universal Fit accessories and blades. Their blades are designed to fit all of the competitors oscillating without the need for any special adapters and they remain backwards compatible with older Rockwell Sonicrafter tools.
