It looks like things are picking up steam over at Delta Power Equipment. It has been a little over a year since Delta was sold from Back & Decker, and they are expanding their line of shop tools with four all new heavy duty sanding machines. The new tools include a Dual Drum Sander, Oscillating Edge Sander, Oscillating Bench Spindle Sander and Oscillating Spindle Floor Sander. For more information, read on.
Delta has announced a new 14-inch bandsaw that features a 1 HP, 115V/230V, 1 phase TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan-Cooled) motor. The new 28-400 bandsaw is built around a heavy-duty steel frame and sits upon a steel stand, both of which are said to reduce unwanted flexing. A relatively small foot-print and a 6-inch high cutting capacity should make this saw a good home workshop option.

One of the things I try to do every weekend, is to watch the woodworking shows that are on PBS. Some times I get caught up in another project and forget to tune in, or even worse, I tune in only to see that PBS is trying to make money and has pulled the show for the day, but I like to watch when I can. I am not much of a woodworker, so I watch mostly for entertainment value, but if I was more into woodworking, all those shop tools are darn expensive? ...
Good news boys and girls, Delta has their new website up and running, and it looks great. The website is easy to navigate, the colors work well together, and there are a bunch of little delta symbols everywhere just in case you forgot where you were. Popular Woodworking broke some pretty interesting news on Friday, that I am sure has a lot of people wondering what is going on. It turns out that Stanley Black & Decker will be selling the Delta brand to a Taiwanese company called TOTY and it will be renamed Delta Power Equipment.
