This is great for the home owner who will only use it from time to time or for light maintenance work. I myself put it to the test the first day and i was very happy with the gun and found it to be great for when i just need to go in and shoot some trim up real fast. Its light and easy to use and the price is hard to beat.

The price was great, it comes with an adequate accessory kit, and a bonus finish nailer. The first task I used it for was nailing down a new wood floor with a flooring stapler. I tried to run it at 90psi, but could only get it to 80psi with any consistency, and even then it was running the entire time that I was working and the pressure would regularly drop into the 60's and 70's. There was a significant connection leak between the nailer and the hose and I'm not sure yet if it was the nailer or the connector, but the connector is plastic and appears to be very light duty. However the little air compressor got the job done, and in the end for the price, I'm quite happy with the machine.

Other than the fact that I got them on sale for 59.00 a set, I was first struck with the easy to read laser etched labeling on them. As I get older and my eyesight gets worse, I am definitely glad that Craftsman has incorporated this into the design. I passed my previous Craftsman impact sockets on to my son in-law and used that as an excuse to make the purchase of the new ones for myself. I love them. How can you not, with a lifetime replacement warranty?

I had my last set for sixteen years and they still work like the first day I got them. I have never had one break, crack, or strip out but it is still nice to know that warranty is there. I also like the fact that they are made in the USA. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside along with peace of mind. I'm looking forward to using my new set for my lifetime.

I am also planning on replacing my 3/8" drive sets with the easy to read design too. That will make the old eyes happy. Not that I need an excuse to buy new tools, I just need an excuse to replace good tools.

I bought this stapler to install cedar shingles and it does a great job at that. It has plenty of power, enough to sink staples into hardwood.
It is easy to see how many staple remain in the magazine. There is no dry fire lock out so this stapler will continue to fire even when the magazine is empty.
It is fairly easy to select between bump and sequential fire, there is a small selector on the trigger.
If you use this stapler with a light hand it may recoil off the workpiece, thereby not sinking the staple completely. This is not a problem when bump firing.

The lever adjusted fire selection switch lets me shift between bump or selective fire very easily. I wish all my nailers had this feature. Although top loading magazines are not my favorite, this one functions well. It is very easy to tell how many staples are left. There is NO dry fire lock out, it will fire when staples are exhausted. The no mar tips are rather large. The hose connector leaves at an odd upward angle, I like to add a swiveling style hose fitting to my finishing guns, so this is not really an issue.I haven't had a jam yet, so I can't comment on how easy it is to clear.
If you can live with the ugly style I would recommend this stapler.

I've used mine mainly to attach canvas to theatrical stage type frames. I don't really care for this stapler that much. Being limited to staples under an inch does not really cover a lot of situations that I come across, and having to change triggers for bump firing is a pain. It does function perfectly for what it does. If you can live with it's limitations you should be happy with it,

Primarily I have used the PC crown Stapler for putting screen doors together, fastening chicken wire, holding cedar shakes in place when leveling floors, repairing cabinetry/countertops, attaching ply backing, and metal lathe for stone work. I’ve used this tool for many tasks and for countless hours, and only had jams when using the tool overhead, Jams are easily cleared with the tool less jam release lever. The issue can be somewhat remedied by using a 1 inch fastener for applications overhead, that’s what work for me, overall it's a minor issue.
The PC NS100 is very lightweight and well balanced; it is comfortable and features a nice molded non-slip grip. Loading is pretty straight forward, just pull back the lever and drop the staples in from the top. Firing is standard single shot, bump is available, but requires a phone call to PC and they will send it free of charge. The stapler also features a non marring nose tip that comes in handy when doing finishing work that needs to be protected. Like many PC air tools, this stapler also features a directional exhaust port.
Overall I am extremely please with this tool and would recommend it to anyone, it requires very little maintenance, it is reliable and extremely useful for all sorts of projects. The great thing is, it can be found pretty cheaply for 30 bucks as a reconditioned product.

The rubberized handle provides a good amount of cushioning during extended use and fair amount traction for those warmer days when hands can become prone to sweating. I’ve been using the nailer for several years now and have yet to have a jamb. Just a drop of oil to keeps things running smoothly and not a problem to be had. If a problem should arise, the gun does have an easy, tool free jamb release.
I’ve used this gun primarily for flooring and hanging doors. A nice feature is the non marring nose tip, it works great when face nailing a couple of prefinished planks,no marks, but even better, it can be removed to allow the user to position the gun flush, and shoot the fastener at an angle, it allows the floor installer another row to hide the nails.
This gun comes with a magazine that can hold up to 100 nails, the kit came with 2inch nails, which is usually my go to fastener size, but for tasks that need extra holding I use 2-1/2 inch fasteners. The gun can use smaller nails, all the way down to ¾ of an inch, and the depth can be adjusted, but when I need smaller nails, I usually want a smaller gauge as well so I often end up switching over to a brad nail gun instead.
This gun comes with a single fire sequential trigger, the bump contact trigger is available for free, but the operator needs contact PC, and they will send it via mail. I chose not to, since I like the safty of the sequential and that I don’t really need a contact trigger, but the option is available to those who need or prefer it for free.
Last feature of this gun that looks to have been completely revamped in the new version of this gun (Porter-Cable FN250C) is the directional exhaust port located near the front of the tool. The new one I appears exhaust from the back, I could be wrong but judging from the photos it looks that way, this model exhausts from the front.
The only time the exhaust port has cause me any grief is when I have forgot to move it to the side and have fired the gun close to a newly sheetrocked wall, and got a cloud of joint compound dust in my face. Out in the open the exhaust port is never a problem for me, just dusty close quarters.
Overall this is a great, well designed gun that would make a good addition to anyone’s air tool collection.

It works well and does everything I need it to do. The only down side is that it is very loud and takes quite a while to get up to shut off pressure. I use it for inflating toys, keeping up pressure on my car tires and some air tools. I wouldn't recommend it for anything that requires a lot of CFM such as board sanders, spray painters or resperators.
It is light and is easy to move.

It is well balanced and very comfortable to use. It is sensitive as to what brands of nails it works with. If you don't feed it the nails it like, expect a lot of jams. Hitachi and Bostitch (wire collation seems to work better) are the only nails that I found to work consistently.
This nailer does not like lower air pressures with long nails, especially ring shanks, I have to reset my compressor to cycle when it gets down to 100 psi. and deal with the more frequent cycling.
This nailer only comes set up for bump firing. I would prefer a lever to switch between modes.
Unless you REALLY have to shoot the shortest nails I would recommend getting the Hitachi
NV75AG or Makita AN611

Built like a tank. A little on the heavy side compared to some of the more modern plastic fantastic guns, but you don't notice it once you pick it up and work it a while. This is not a plastic gun.
It is well balanced and comfortable to work with. Jams are a very rare occurrence, but when they do happen they can be a pain to clear. I would prefer a lever to switch from bump to sequential fire rather than the ring under the trigger, But the ring does work OK. This guns magazine does not really care for 8's, the ends of the racks tend to jam together causing misfires and jams. I prefer a coil nailer for the lighter stuff anyhow, so it is not really a problem for me.

I think that most compressor manufacturers are optimistic in their CFM rating. Realistically this compressor can power a 3 CFM rated tool. You would think 4 HP would out power an electric twin stack, not with this compressor. That said, If you need to cut down on what your carrying (i.e. not the generator) for some field nailing operations, this compressor will keep a couple of workers happy. It does work excellently in the back of a UATV.
The pump does not really tax the motor so the Honda motor should last a good long time. This thing is heavy, you will not enjoy carrying it. It is my opinion, that unless you need something in this form factor, you would probably be better served with a wheelbarrow style compressor.

You might think that the dust blower is just a gimmick, it isn't. How many times have you been trimming out a room and had to deal with sawdust/drywall dust or even spiderweb, just where you want to install?
This nailer is very easy to switch between bump and sequential fire, I wish all nailers were this easy to change. Depth is also any easy adjustment.
I don't particularly care for the plastic magazine, although it does function excellently,(the end loading feature is convenient) plastic always seems to be the first thing to break.
This nailer is a little on the heavy side compared to some of the new plastic/magnesium nailers but not really enough to be a bother.

Nail heads set well even in hard woods. The gun is easy to load. I've loaded it many times with one hand while holding up some crown molding with the other, (oops, should have been keeping an eye on the load gauge.) This gun has a anti-dry fire feature but leaves a few nails from the last rack, (not good). Sometimes a bit tricky if you are angling your nails because of the safety.

A lot of manufacturers claim their compressors are quiet, this one really is. I bought this compressor thinking that it would be lighter than my twin stack, so I wouldn't be having a hard time moving it around, Wrong, this thing weighs over 50 lbs. You wouldn't think it by looking at it, but it does.
That said, this thing is built like a tank. I don't anticipate it wearing out any time soon.
It has a decent output, for a single user. I wouldn't expect to have a crew working off this one compressor. It only has a 50% duty cycle.
It is a jitterbug, put this down on something that resonates and you will know about it. On a sloped surface, if its suction cup style feet don't have traction, it'll walk away.
It is a slight pain to drain the condensate, as the tap in not directly on the bottom, so you have to tilt it over, to drain it completely.
If I'm working alone, this is the compressor I grab.

Really does have decent output, with out worries of overheating/overuse. I don't think you could over tax it with any kind of nailer that you could think of. Two framers are easily accommodated, three fast roofers or 2 fast sheathers may be pushing it.
Despite what the description says, spray painting and sandblasting are not something you should be thinking about with a small portable electric compressor. You'll be much happier with triple this compressors output. This compressor will run tools labeled for 3 CFM or less.
Oil less means that you won't be worrying your painters about fish eyes.(assuming your using an oilless nailer also)
Thomas is the original patent holder for the oilless technology used in compressors today.
